Honeymoon Island Maternity Session

When I think of this beautiful expecting couple, I feel a joyful enthusiasm for the next chapter of their lives. Not only were they one of the easiest couples to work with, but their thoughtful and kind personalities immediately set the tone for this maternity session. Honeymoon Island State Park is such a relaxing and fun location to photograph because of the natural light, rolling waves and gentle breezes. From the moment I turned on my camera, I could tell instantly this couple has a deep connection with one another - which translated beautifully in my photos. From the sea grapes and sawgrass palms, to the gorgeous blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico, there is no shortage of natural landscapes to explore in this coastal wonderland. 

For families that want to make a day of their photoshoot, this location also features the Honeymoon Island State Park Rotary Centennial Nature Center. Situated above the sea wall facing St. Joseph Sound, this educational center affords spectacular views of sea grass beds, mangroves, mud flats and oyster beds. Families can observe a variety of shore birds including spoonbills, egrets, herons, osprey, pelicans and an abundance of marine life. This nature center is a perfect place to enjoy a bird's eye view of the island and then take incredible photos at sunset.
